This term refers to the digi­tal­iza­tion of agri­cul­ture. Satellite data can be used to make agri­cul­ture more effi­cient and sustain­able. From the data, farm­ers can deduce, for exam­ple, the condi­tion of the soil in their fields or the precise need for water, seed and fertil­izer. The (partially) autonomous control of agri­cul­tural machin­ery and other digi­tal solu­tions to improve processes also play a role here. (c.f. New Space)
