In a&nbsp;so-called <a href=\"https:\/\/elements.evonik.com\/research-and-innovation\/how-h2o2-is-produced\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">autox\u00adi\u00adda\u00adtion process<\/a>, the hydro\u00adgen perox\u00adide is first produced from hydro\u00adgen and oxygen. This happens in three steps: first, hydro\u00adgen is added to a&nbsp;work\u00ading solu\u00adtion and combines with this reac\u00adtion medium. The second step involves atmos\u00adpheric oxygen being pumped into the work\u00ading solu\u00adtion under pres\u00adsure, produc\u00ading hydro\u00adgen perox\u00adide. This is then extracted with the addi\u00adtion of&nbsp;water.<\/p>\n<p>The hydro\u00adgen perox\u00adide is then mixed with acetic acid and addi\u00adtional addi\u00adtives and treated further.
