Hybrid rock\u00adets feature tanks contain\u00ading liquid oxidizer \u2012 highly concen\u00adtrated hydro\u00adgen perox\u00adide \u2012 and a&nbsp;combus\u00adtion cham\u00adber contain\u00ading a&nbsp;solid fuel, such as poly\u00adeth\u00adyl\u00adene. To achieve the desired thrust, a&nbsp;valve is opened and the liquid fuel is forced into the combus\u00adtion cham\u00adber via a&nbsp;cata\u00adlyst. There, the liquid fuel reacts with the solid fuel and provides the neces\u00adsary thrust.<\/p>\n<p>The advan\u00adtage of using these substances is that there is no risk of explo\u00adsion during stor\u00adage and oper\u00ada\u00adtion.
